Kenchy Ragsdale is a political consultant, advocate, photographer and social media strategist/designer. He has worked on School Board campaigns, LA County Judge campaigns, City Council campaigns, and a U.S. Congressional campaign. He believes that strong progressive narratives and values can transform lives and empower people to make change starting in their own communities.

Originally from Chicago, Kenchy moved to Los Angeles to work in Television and had the great fortune to work with some of the foremost talent in Hollywood on some of the best shows in the history of television. Some of those shows included: The West Wing, CSI, The Shield among many others. Through his experience in the entertainment industry, Kenchy learned the importance of strong storytelling.  More importantly, he saw how creative vision and dedication can give people the tools to imagine a life beyond their personal experience and to fight for a better world.

As an advocate Kenchy has worked on issue and advocacy campaigns like the CA Covid Vaccine campaign, Prop 19, and as part of the leadership team for East Valley Indivisibles he helped to fight and defeat Trump. He worked with EVI and other advocacy Dem Clubs and political action groups to elect progressive local leader LA City Council Member for CD4 Nithya Raman as well.  Through all of that work he saw the dedication and determination that it takes to make progressive change nationally but more importantly here in Los Angeles.

Kenchy is also the co-founder of Kids Not Politics, a grassroots advocacy organization that empowers families to get involved in the political process surrounding public education. He has fought to preserve educational opportunities for thousands of kids. He’s worked with parents, kids, teachers, administrators and lawmakers to protect school choice in CA public schools.
